It's exactly 7:45PM and I'm here at LRT Pedro Gil Station waiting for my friend. Sitting on the bench, I wonder what to write on my blog which happened to be very important because it is graded. Blogging is one of my favorite hobbies but I really have no idea what to write now.
I'm into writing, in fact I am a blogger for a long time already however the problem is I rarely write in English or in formal language. I guess it is because my chosen audiences are quite not interested to it or I think they prefer to be entertained rather than finding solution to serious problems such as increase in unemployment rate and other related stuff. This blog actually is all about my personal silly stories with enormous splash of humor as its tagline says, "Ang buhay ay isang malaking joke" which I believe loved by many because of feedback coming from my friends (they are such true friends, I know!).
My style of writing is like Bob Ong's. He is a contemporary Filipino Author known for using conversational Filipino to create humorous and reflective depictions of Philippine life. I really loved his works and I am such a huge fan! I am more of a creative writer and writing stories is my forte. In the contrary, my struggle is that the course requires us to engage more on formal writing and examples are journalistic, academic, etc. (Oh, I remember. Avoid using etc.) and other forms of writing.
Instead of worrying, I found a silverlining with this challenge. Being able to write in formal will enable me to equip more skills and be able to learn new writing techniques since my very awesome classmates will have good comments on this to help me improve (for the sake of extra points). Oh just to add up, I am very vulnerable to criticisms so take it easy you guys. Thank you!
I guess it's time to get out of my comfort zone, this blog will now evolve and change! It's going to be bolder, bigger, and better! Watch out for next posts to come. I may come up with topics like forgiveness, law, corruption, poverty, education, and a lot more. Sure it's a lot more serious than previous posts but I assure you it is gonna be all right (for good grades, please be with me).
Oh, my friend is here! The train is here! Time to go. By the way, I'm Grace Alcala, the socially awkward girl sitting at the back.
Welcome to my blog, Full The String To Stuff.
May the grace of the Lord be with us always!

HI! I really love how you express yourself through writing/blogging. I am very inspired on the way you let your feelings flow through writing.:)
ReplyDeleteGreat! I like your choice of words and your way of stringing words. Words seem to flow naturally from your head.
